Our Dried Japanese Flower Mushrooms enhance the umami of Chinese cuisine dishes such as soups and braised dishes. They provide a soft and juicy bite and complement other ingredients in the dish. The Japanese flower mushrooms are also more fragrant as compared to the dried China flower mushrooms.
To rehydrate dried flower mushrooms, simply rinse them under cold water. Remove the mushroom stems. Place the dried mushrooms into a pot or bowl of warm or cold water and cover with a lid. Soak them for about 2-3 hours or till softened before cooking. You may adjust the soaking time based on your preference.
Tip:
Soaking the mushrooms in cold water would help them to better retain their flavour. The leftover liquid from soaking the mushrooms can be used to add flavour to the dishes.
