Preparation:
Rinse the herbs before use. Add the herbs to 1.5 liters of water, bring to a boil then cover the pot and let it simmer over low heat for 1 hr. Serve warm.

Did you know? Breast milk supply is not determined by breast size.
Blood is the source of breastmilk as it supplies the nutrients needed to product milk, while Qi transforms blood into milk.
Many new moms experience overwhelming emotions and stress after childbirth. This may lead to blocked milk ducts as Qi can become obstructed in the liver, hindering its free flow to the nipple, and thus preventing the milk from moving down the ducts and out through the nipple.
In TCM, fluid distribution is regulated by our digestive system, particularly the spleen. A compromised digestive system can result in the accumulation of dampness in the body, while dampness build-up can further weaken its function.
This imbalance impacts breast milk supply as the digestive system may struggle to transform food into Qi and blood. Dampness can also impede the flow of Qi and blood to the milk ducts, potentially causing blocked milk ducts.
