Bai He 百合

Bǎi hé (Lily bulb; 百合) contains cooling and moistening properties to relieve dryness in the lungs. It also has a calming effect on the heart to promote relaxation.

Benefits:
● Relieves dry coughs, dry throats, and blood-stained mucus or sputum
● Promotes restful sleep
● Relieves mental tension and vexation
● Relieves night sweats by clearing body heat

Dosage:
6g to 12g

Suggested use:
Rinse herb before use. Make your own dessert soup by pairing lily bulbs with ginkgo nuts (白果), lotus seeds (莲子), dried longans (龙眼肉), and white fungus (银耳).

Lily bulbs also go well with Huai Shan (淮山), Yu Zhu (玉竹), wolfberries (枸杞), dried figs (无花果), and dried scallops (干贝) for a pot of immune-boosting herbal soup.

Best kept refrigerated.
