Tai Zi Shen 太子参

Tonifies Qi, nourishes Yin & calms the mind

In TCM, tài zǐ shēn (Prince Ginseng; 太子参) has tonifying benefits on the spleen and lungs, which are the two organs most involved in the production of Qi. It also moistens dryness and replenishes fluids in the body to nourish the Yin. It has similar benefits to Chinese ginseng, American ginseng, and Dang Shen in these aspects, however, its tonic effects are much milder.

● Restores physical strength after an illness
● Alleviates loss of appetite, fatigue, and dryness in the mouth and tongue induced by spleen Qi and stomach Yin deficiencies
● Reduces spontaneous sweating and thirst due to Qi and Yin deficiency caused by heat ailments
● Relieves heart palpitation, insomnia, and excessive sweating due to Qi and Yin deficiency of the heart
● Relieves cough with shortness of breath or little phlegm due to Qi deficiency and dryness in the lungs
