Aged Tangerine Peel 新会老陈皮

There's a common saying in Guangdong that says aged dried tangerine peels are as precious as gold nuggets. The older the peels, the better. Our aged tangerine peels have been aged for more than 30 years! They are made with tangerines from the Xinhui district of China's Guangdong province, a place known for producing high-quality tangerine peels with strong aromatic characteristics.

In TCM, dried tangerine peels help regulate Qi and have nourishing benefits on the digestive system and lungs. Bitter yet fragrant, they can be used in teas, soups, desserts, drinks, and stews.

Benefits:
● Drains dampness (excess moisture) and resolves phlegm
● Relieves wet and persistent cough due to excessive phlegm in the lungs
● Provides relief for digestive disorders (e.g. nausea, bloating, belching, and vomiting)
● Improves appetite

Dosage:
3g to 9g

Suggested use:
Rinse before use. Tangerine peels are commonly used in teas, soups, desserts, drinks, and stews, such as red bean soup with lotus seeds and tangerine peel.

Storage:
Best kept refrigerated

How to relieve loss of appetite:
For loss of appetite, steep 2-3 pieces of the aged tangerine peel with 4-5 red dates in a cup of hot water to stimulate appetite.

How to relieve wind-heat cough:*
Infuse one tablespoon of chrysanthemum with 1-2 pieces of tangerine peel in a cup of hot water for 10 minutes before drinking.

*A wind-heat cough may manifest physically as phlegmy cough with yellow or sticky phlegm; sore throat; runny nose with sticky mucus; dry mouth, etc.
